Tottering Blue Marble
In the latter part of the 20th Century, the ecological movement began to develop political power and one of the "logos" for this was the new outer space image of the earth as a ....BIG BLUE MARBLE. Earth's minute place in the galaxy was beautifully explained in this image. At the time it became a common icon on public television.
I am implying in this piece that the earth is approaching a dangerous time environmentally and more attention needs to be directed toward resolving this problem.
