I live in an area that still supports large milk farms despite the closeness to one of the world's largest cities. This bucolic ambience makes the region an attraction to the "city folk". The local government is actively persuading the farmers to submit their land to an open space program to keep this acreage undeveloped forever.
One of the local places maintains a Holstein herd where I went to research this serigraph. The herd maintained their 'cool' while I wandered among them in the field, only arising when, I presumed, the head cow decided. They never bothered me but did check me over. The farmer got a little nervous and came out to make sure I was all right. The cow is a big animal and probably could inflict some damage if provoked.
